Art Therapist Registered-Board Certified national designation (ATR-BC) and Licensed Professional Art Therapist or Licensed Professional Art Therapist Associate in Kentucky (LPAT or LPATA)

Walking some distances, occasionally sitting at computer workstation for extended periods; lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 25 lbs

Job Summary
The Clinical Art Therapist will be responsible for the day-to-day clinical duties on new Pediatric BHU in conjunction with the Creative Arts Therapies team and BHU team. The position will provide a patient centered experience when conducting art therapy with adolescent and pediatric psychiatric and medical populations; enhance patient experience by monitoring and responding to therapeutic evaluative information; respond to customer service issues in a timely manner, and maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation. May align the activities of students and interns with patient outcomes as assigned.
This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted.
