JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Architecture and Landscape Architecture Library seeks 1 - 2 customer service-oriented individuals to assist at the circulation desk beginning in the Summer of 2024 and continue to work through the 2024 - 2025 academic year and beyond.

This candidate must be a customer service-oriented individual with the ability to learn rapidly and to follow directions.  Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to; circulating library materials, helping users locate library materials and resources, answering basic reference and general research questions, providing basic assistance with technology and computing, opening and closing the library, and assisting in maintaining the Library’s collections and spaces. 

Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong commitment to service, diversity, equity, respect, and inclusion are required.  Experience in a public service setting and fluency with computers and computing applications are preferred.  Knowledge of the Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or Graphic Design fields is welcome but not required

This part-time staff position is typically scheduled to work 10 - 12 hours per week. Candidates must be willing to work a combination of evening, weekend, and day hours, with the option to take extra shifts when they become available. Dependability and arriving promptly when assigned to work are a requirement of the role.
