Description:

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the College of Dentistry at the University of Illinois Chicago is seeking applications for a 12-month, full-time Advance Practice Registered Nurse, Certified Nurse Practitioner.

The College of Dentistry is the largest oral health college in the State of Illinois, provides care for 35,000 patients a year, and has over 500 students seeking dental degrees including DMD, PhD and Master’s programs. The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides comprehensive health care for assigned patients/community as determined by scope of practice guidelines and specialty. This includes completion of a health assessment, determining diagnosis, planning and prescribing treatment within the parameters of medical staff privileges at UI Health and area of expertise. The APRN participates in the educational experiences of nursing students, medical students, residents and other health care disciplines.

Minimum qualifications include Master’s degree in Nursing or Doctorate degree in Nursing required. Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Illinois required.

Preferred qualifications include Staff nursing experience in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. Operative experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
