JOB SUMMARY

Aaron Seitz and Susanne Jaeggi from the Brain Game Center for Mental Fitness and Well-being are seeking a Full-Stack Application Programmer to assist in development of tools used to measure and train cognitive processes. In this role, the Programmer will assist with all aspects of the implementation of research tools from design and development to maintenance and support. The ideal candidate should possess an understanding of game development, design, development using C#, familiarity with Unity 3D, Vue, database and network programming. Further, the Application Programmer will also need to operate well in programming teams, with research staff and graduate students, and to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Game Development for Brain Training Games (33%)

  • This includes project management, programming, software management and distribution, team leadership, coordinating with research activities, etc.

Programs Interactive Cognitive Assessments (33%)

  • This includes project management, programming, software management and distribution, team leadership, coordinating with research activities, etc. (33%)

Develop and Support Server Systems (33%)

  • This includes project management, programming, software management and distribution, team leadership, coordinating with research activities, etc.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field;
  • One to three years of academic or professional experience;
  • Programming experience in areas such as C#, Unity, Vue, AWS, servers, databases, etc.;
  • Software organization, management, version control experience; and
  • Ability to communicate using both technical and non-technical terms with team-members from diverse backgrounds.

PREFFERED SKILLS

  • Full-Stack experience;
  • Experience with video game (2D and 3D) development;
  • Unity UI development;
  • Server-side programming (AWS, API development, MySQL, ASP .NET Core, Blazor, Vue, etc.);
  • Python;
  • Use of AI tools;
  • YouTrack experience; and
  • Project management
