Manages the ServiceNow System Administration and development. This includes the administration, development, operation, education, and maintenance of the ServiceNow
platform. Serves as a developer and technical subject matter expert for the ServiceNow system. Partners with stakeholders to develop workflows, perform needs assessments, assist in solution development, and influence organizational change. Be a part of the on-call function of the Incident/Change team.

  • Manages the health, administration, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications. Configure and enhance core application including, but not limited to, Service Catalog, Service Portal, Knowledge Base, Management, Project & Portfolio, and Reporting.
  • Supports implemented and proposed solutions on the ServiceNow platform. Load, manipulate, and maintain data, and API integration between ServiceNow and other systems.
  • Develops ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, Web Services, MYSQL, XML, HTML and CSS. Perform code reviews to ensure that the quality bar is being met about coding standards, integration, extensibility, and security. Create and maintain a detailed view of the ServiceNow architecture.
  • Deploys of features and ServiceNow releases. Makes recommendations and participates in implementing ServiceNow requirements and provide architectural controls and impact analysis for new requirements.
  • Provides timely and courteous support to users.
  • Manages the ServiceNow software releases through configuration tasks and feature delivery and optimize stability and usability of ServiceNow through regular application maintenance. Research and stay current in ServiceNow products and applicable integrated technologies.
  • Partners with stakeholders to develop workflows, SLAs, perform needs assessments, assist in solution development, and influence organizational change.
  • Participates on-call function of the Incident/Change team. Collaborates with team members to design best solutions for technical issues.
  • Performs other related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
  • Works with users to eliminate problems, errors and to improve the end user experience presented in ServiceNow.
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Studies or other technical discipline and three (3) years related experience; OR seven (7) years of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • Experience working with a wide range of web-based technologies is preferred.
  • Experience using software best practices to develop ServiceNow solutions and workflows.
  • Experience with ServiceNow incident, change, problem, request, CMDB and knowledge management applications.
