:
The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas to teach introductory and intermediate courses for the Summer and Fall 2024 semesters: Anthropology.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Anthropology from an accredited college or university or a foreign equivalent.
OR
- Master's degree in Archaeology, Sociology, History, Egyptology, Social Sciences, or Ethnic Studies and 18 graduate-level credits in Anthropology from an accredited college or university or a foreign equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- College teaching experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English. English and other languages will be considered, as well.
Additional Information:
- The 2023-24 adjunct rate of pay is $1,371 per credit hour. 3-credit courses will be paid a total of $4,113.
- Offers are contingent with the successful completion of a background check, and official transcripts are required at time of hire.
- Summer semester begins 6/3/24 and Fall semester begins 8/26/24.
While the department priority is to secure an instructor for the upcoming semesters, other opportunities for future teaching of other courses may exist, provided that instructor qualifications meet course instruction needs. Further, other applicants are encouraged to apply throughout the year. Applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis. Successful applicants will be assigned an opportunity in either the Fall or Spring semester, based on availability of courses and instruction needs.
