We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in investigating mouse models of peripheral neuropathy and the intricate interactions between sensory neurons and immune cells in these mouse models.

1. Mouse Model Development: Develop and implement novel mouse models of peripheral neuropathy.
2. Experimental Design and Execution: Design, conduct, and oversee experiments focused on understanding the mechanisms underlying sensory neuron-immune cell crosstalk in peripheral neuropathy.
3. Data Collection and Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of experimental data using a variety of techniques including mouse behavior experiments, histology, imaging, in-vitro modelling.
4. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, communicate findings through presentations, papers, and conferences, and contribute actively to lab meetings and discussions.
5. Innovation and Problem-Solving: Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative approaches and methodologies to address key research questions in the field.


Team player with an interest in tackling difficult problems in the mechanistic understanding of peripheral neuropathy. Highly motivated and capable of independent work in a collaborative environment. Strong background in mouse pain behavior methods.  Familiarity or expertise in studying neuro-immune interactions is a plus.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in neuroscience or related discipline.

Requirements:

● Ph.D. in neuroscience or related field

● Background in Immunology and neuro-immune interactions is a plus

● Proven ability to do mouse pain behavioral modelling.

● Independent, highly motivated, and highly collaborative with the ability to work together with multi-disciplinary teams.

● Enthusiastic about working in a scientific environment, especially one that is related to drug discovery and development

● Quick learner, are curious about new areas and the opportunity to build expertise, and courageously and creatively take initiative to see your ideas implemented

● Able to perform at a high level in a fast changing and demanding environment

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $64,800 and $120,300. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
