Position Summary:

Advance evidence informed decision making at UD in a role dedicated to engaging and impactful data analysis and visualization! Working as part of a team, the analyst will have a chance to develop deep expertise in one or more areas of focus while contributing their ideas and skills to analysis in areas including academics; enrollment management; student success, wellbeing, and engagement; finance; administration; human resources; information technology; and diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Decision Support Analyst produces reliable, valid, useful, engaging and impactful data analysis and visualization across a wide variety of university issues. Working as part of a team the analyst will:

-Work with stakeholders to identify needs and research questions
-Develop systematic approaches for sourcing, combining, and shaping data to meet multiple requests and research questions
-Build and iteratively improve engaging and insightful self-service dashboards that provide a variety of information while drawing attention to key dynamics
-Engage stakeholders with analytic products

Potential issue areas will include but not be limited to: academics; enrollment management; student success, wellbeing, and engagement; finance; administration; human resources; information technology; and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Minimum Qualifications:

-Associates degree or at least two years of directly related experience
-Work or educational experience with quantitative data analysis, research, analytics, data science, or assessment
-Experience managing projects
-Effective written and verbal communication skills
-Commitment to professional development related to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

-Relevant Masters degree
-At least two years of directly related experience
-Demonstrated history of learning new analytic skills through projects and iteratively improving skill sets and approaches (in previous work or educational experiences)
-Work or educational experience with university data systems or similar data systems from other complex organizations (public sector, non-profit, corporate)
-Portfolio of products from previous jobs or educational experiences that demonstrates descriptive analysis, statistical analysis, data science, and/or data visualization
-Portfolio of high quality work produced with Tableau, PowerBI, R, Python, SQL or other data management, analysis, and visualization platforms
-Knowledge of higher education theory and best practice related to academics; enrollment management; student success, wellbeing, and engagement; finance; administration; human resources; information technology; and diversity, equity, and inclusion
-Demonstrated experience advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and engaging in equity-minded practice
-Ability to advance the characteristics of Marianist universities including education in the family spirit; for service, justice and peace; and adaptation and change
