AmeriCorps Food Educators serving with Coupeville Farm to School will be partnering with the Coupeville School District and South Whidbey Good Cheer to support procurement of local food for the school district and community.  School Farmers will be completing their service in the school district involving students, parents, and community.  Service runs from October 18th to August 31st. AmeriCorps members will be serving under the supervision of the School Farm Manager.

Service Description

§ Support distribution of produce from the on-site school farm

§ Support farm operation with farm planning, seed-starting, planting, harvesting, weeding, and more.

§ Support food prep for district made school meals.

§ Support agriculture education with district teachers.

§ Work directly with the Coupeville School District and South Whidbey Good Cheer
