The UVA Mindfulness Center is pleased to announce that we are seeking to fill an instructor-level position, the purpose of which is to develop and lead a Mindful Eating Course. This interactive class will occur up to four times annually and consist of 8 to 12 sessions. The in-person Mindful Eating Class may be offered virtually upon approval of the Mindfulness Center Director. In addition, Mindfulness Center Instructors may be asked to speak at UVA and non-UVA group events. Participation is at the discretion of the instructor and based on interest and availability.
Job candidates must have a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work and completed the Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT). A demonstrated and active Mindful Meditation practice of no less than ten years is required. Current licensure as a Clinical Social Worker and experience in the treatment of eating disorders is preferred but not required.
