The Department of Mathematics at Colorado State University invites applications or nominations for the Albert C. Yates Chair in Mathematics. This position is an endowed chair, with a six-year term, created through a gift from the Bohemian Foundation, and will include an appointment as a regular faculty member in the Department of Mathematics at the Full or Associate Professor level. Candidates are expected to have demonstrated excellence in both teaching and research and have a record of external funding. The terms of the endowment also require the appointee to have a record of community service, a commitment to applied research and a practical approach to mathematics. The Yates Professor will perform a leadership role in the intellectual life of the Department. Research interests of current faculty are located at https://mathematics.colostate.edu/research/ .
