Job Summary

The Associate Aircraft Maintenance Technician functions as an FAA certified airframe and powerplant mechanic. Will perform maintenance and FAA required inspections of all aircraft assigned to the School of Aviation & Transportation Technology. Relative to the operation of the Purdue University aircraft fleet, the successful hire will perform ancillary functions including towing aircraft, ground deicing, aircraft cleaning, fueling, hangaring, and security. Assist in recordkeeping functions of aircraft maintenance, FAA regulations, aircraft service bulletins, service letter, and manuals. Assist in maintenance of ground support equipment and physical facilities.


What We’re Looking For:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • One (1) or mores years’ experience in aviation maintenance  

 

Skills Needed:       

  • Federal Aviation Administration Aircraft Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant Ratings
  • Computer literacy with MS office products; Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  • A valid US or Canadian driver’s license
