Job Summary:


The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Family and Consumer Sciences Extension is seeking an Agriculture Extension Specialist. This position will serve as an Extension Specialist supporting local food system strategies focused on Nutrition Education. This position will work with Extension Specialist, County Extension Agents, and Nutrition Program Assistants to identify, adopt, and implement tools and resources to support the area of nutrition education. Position will focus on the areas of (but not limited to): niche production and value chain producers, urban agriculture, food processing, nutrition and health, recovery and food waste, food security, food justice, and food sovereignty. This position is grant funded position and contingent funding renewal annually.

Proven ability to work within deadlines; strong organizational and time/project management skills; excellent oral and written communication skills. Word, PowerPoint.
