Provides research support at beef and sheep research facilities at Wooster campus; performs proper beef cattle and sheep husbandry duties; assists with research duties including feed mixing, feeding, watering and other tasks according to protocols; assists veterinarian and faculty researchers with special procedures on laboratory animals such as surgery, collecting blood samples, and administering medications; performs collection of samples for laboratory analysis and prepares feed samples for storage; operates and maintains equipment and physical facilities; communicates with faculty, technicians, and students the health, production and management data essential for beef cattle and sheep research; works weekend rotation and some holidays.

7th grade plus; three courses in agriculture (or three months of experience), 300 hours of training in the operation of agricultural equipment (or three months of experience); valid driver’s license.
Minimum of three months livestock experience; ability to lift and carry at least 60 pounds for short distances.
