The School of Pharmacy is looking for an Admissions Counselor to serve as a member of the Aggie Pharmacy Technician Program (PTP). We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. The successful applicant will bring an expert level of experience to the position and understand the demands of supporting executives in a fast-paced environment. This person must be professional, enjoy working in a high-volume environment and be able to apply strong organizational skills while being flexible in their daily routine. Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • One year of advising, recruiting or related experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and database applications.

  • Knowledge of admissions functions of higher education or postsecondary education.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good customer service / interpersonal skills.

  • Planning and organization skills.

  • Ability to present information clearly and concisely.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an admissions or recruitment role for an institution of higher education.

Essential Duties/Tasks:

Recruitment and Admissions

  • Assists in developing communication plans and strategies to reach prospective students.

  • Organizes, implements, and reports on programs already in place.

  • Develops new, high impact programs designed to recruit students through departmental collaboration.

  • Analyzes data collected from students prior to the start of recruitment season and applies necessary changes in specific areas to assist with recruitment.

  • Provides specialized admissions sessions and presentations to a wide variety of on and off campus groups.

  • Works directly with applicants to resolve extenuating circumstances.

Aggie PTP Operations

  • Coordinates administrative support functions.

  • May serve as the office coordinator.

  • Assists with organizing and retaining documents for student progression and accreditation.

  • Assist with maintaining prospective and enrolled student records and databases, audits information for accuracy.

  • Manages classroom scheduling and ensures classroom functionality.

Advising

  • Counsels and advises prospective students about admissions requirements, policies, statuses, and office.

  • Conducts informational sessions for prospective students.

  • Counsels and advises current students about career opportunities.
