Position Summary/Purpose of Position: | This position is a 12 month, term appointment. The full-time position is part of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – Education (SNAP-Ed) conducted by the University of Maryland Extension. The educator will deliver nutrition education programs to low income residents in Howard County with emphasis on reaching food supplement (stamp) recipients. The position will be housed in the Howard County Extension office in Columbia, MD. Responsibilities Include:

Additional Information: | Successful candidate is required to obtain a clear background check by the State of Maryland and the FBI. Salary will be commensurate with experience with a base salary of $59,350. The University of Maryland offers an extensive benefits package. |

Physical Demands | A routine part of this position’s responsibilities would be to transport materials to and from teaching/event locations, including loading and unloading the vehicle. The employee will frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 20 pounds. Set-up and tear-down of displays, tables, and chairs would be necessary at many teaching sites. |
