Position Title:  Affiliate Faculty of Instruction, School Counseling

Required Qualifications and Education:

  • Masters in School Counseling or Counseling with emphasis in School Counseling
  • Current endorsement as a Michigan School Counselor or a current Michigan School Counselor License
  • Minimum of two years school counseling experience in a K-12 setting
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel to school counseling program internship sites

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

  • School counseling supervision experience
  • Education in supervision
  • Successful university teaching experience especially in school counseling
  • Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Education, School Counseling, or a closely related field

Responsibilities – Essential Functions: 

  • Teaching school counselor emphasis area courses
  • Individual and group supervision of graduate students in school counseling internships
  • Serve as a liaison for School Counseling Master’s Program and School Partners
  • Advise graduate students
  • Work collaboratively with program faculty and students
  • Travel to school counseling program internship sites

Salary:  Commensurate with experience
