This role will be responsible for delivering to the Academic Advising team the most up-to-date academic content, resources, and training among rapidly evolving requirements in each academic cycle. They will work proactively to support the Senior Director and Advising team with innovative, systematic, and streamlined enrollment practices incorporating the academic requirements by school and by program. This candidate will serve as a liaison of the Advising team to each academic school (and the various Student Service Departments as needed) relative to academic program support for students and Academic Advisors. They will review and recommend best practices for Education Plan development based on various needs of our programs and external partnerships.

The hiring range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00 per hour. Offers are determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: geographical location, knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members.
TYPE OF SUPERVISION:
Receive direction from the Senior Director, Online Enrollment and Student Services.
- Direction – indicates that the incumbent attains specific goals and objectives in a broad area of work. Only the final results of work done are typically reviewed. Incumbent typically develops procedures within the limits of established policy guidelines.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Percentage
- Meet with representatives of the academic units on a regular basis to maintain currency on academic program requirements.
- Deliver up-to-date resources, information, and training on academic program requirements to the Advising Team.
- Review enrollment and education plan data in order to:
- Proactively identify areas of improvement and efficiency for students.
- Make recommendations to the Senior Director on process efficiencies and team training opportunities. - Develop a shared information source for the Advising team with real-time notification of changes/updates to program requirements.
- Maintain a student caseload of 50 students and keep open capacity for short-term student overflow due to ongoing staffing changes.
- Work with Outreach team members to:
- assist with presentations for students and partner organizations (virtual and in-person at times)
- provide support in monitoring and managing partnership organizations’ enrollment planning needs.
- make recommendations for renewal, improvement, changes, and efficiency. - Conduct and participate in key enrollment projects as needed by the Senior Director and AVC of Student Success.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR LICENSES:
- Bachelor’s degree, or a combination of related education and experience
- Master’s degree, preferred
- Three (3) years of experience in an Academic Advising role including evaluation of student needs, development and/or revision of short and long-term educational programming.
- Two (2) to three (3) years of relevant experience in leadership, training, and project management specifically within academic advising and enrollment management in higher education preferred.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Highly skilled in assessing academic support needs of students based on the students’ skills, goals, responsibilities, and experience; developing creative solutions to complex issues, as needed
- Detailed knowledge of curriculum for degrees, credentials, and certificate programs and respective intern and career opportunities.
- Knowledge of student information system and applications as related to student enrollment data and reporting.
- Working knowledge of and ability to apply adult learning principles and higher education policies
- Working knowledge of enrollment management and retention best practices and application in an adult learning environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to prepare clear, concise, and grammatically correct work
- Ability to gather data and analyze information to provide accurate recommendations.
- Ability to collaborate with and serve as liaison to other university departments.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and exercise independent discretion and judgment
- Ability to prioritize duties and maintain an attention-to-detail in an environment with interruptions, distractions, and a fluctuating workload.
- Ability to travel upon opportunity (no more than 5%)
