Job Summary
 

Responsible for maintaining the donor and alumni database by entering new and updating constituent data. Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information. Establishes entry priorities. Identifies and reviews alumni and constituent records for deficiencies, duplicate constituents, and constituent updates.


Responsibilities
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Monitors and responds to requests to update information in the donor and alumni database 

2. Performs basic donor and alumni research to keep address, employment, and other basic biographical information current 

3. Responsible for ensuring data quality by minimizing errors and duplication 

4. Runs global uploads of data to our donor and alumni database from other software programs or spreadsheets 

5. Creates new records in the donor and alumni database as required 

6. Creates and runs queries and exports from the donor and alumni database for projects as needed 

7. Assists with reporting, including producing dashboards and measuring metrics 

8. Serves as back up for gift entry processing and batch posting 

9. Updates media attachments for records (LOI/MOU, Business Cards, news articles, etc.) 

10. Maintains event registrations and event attendance 

11. Keeps record of obituaries, returned mail and email, and other information need to maintain current data


Required Qualifications
 

Educational Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Required Experience
On-the-job training provided


Preferred Qualifications
 

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
Previous experience in higher education, healthcare, or non-profit advancement or fundraising preferred
Previous experience working directly with database system(s) or customer relations management (CRM) platform(s) such as Blackbaud Raiser's Edge/NXT


Proposed Salary
 

The budgeted salary range is $17.85 to $18.58 per hour.  Offers are based on relevant experience.

KNOWLEDGE
Basic level understanding of data file formats and bulk import operations
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite, Raiser's Edge/NXT, Banner, or other advancement management systems)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
