The University of Tennessee Foundation, Inc. (UTFI), UT Knoxville College of Architecture and Design is seeking a motivated self-starter with exceptional organizational skills to assist the department in its mission to advance the university and enrich the lives of students and alumni. Reporting to Director of Advancement, the Advancement Coordinator supports the annual giving, stewardship, and gift agreement processes and will provide information to the college’s communication director to keep the advancement web pages current and reporting updated.

Job duties include:

·         Annual Giving – Manage annual giving campaigns and initiatives such as Big Orange Give, Big Orange Family, and Senior Impact. This includes managing the approval process of materials related to the campaigns, preparing and tracking necessary information, and meeting deadlines.

·         Gift Agreement Process – Work closely with our UTFI prospect development team to submit, revise, and monitor completion of outstanding proposals and gift agreements. This includes securing signatures and creating accounts in our customer relationship management (CRM) system.

·         Stewardship - Execute stewardship activities including participating in weekly process of sending thank you notes to donors, processing and delivering gifts, and requesting updates and data in the CRM system for newsletters and monthly reports. This role will also support the annual scholarship preparation process.

·         Other duties assigned – Provide information to the college’s communication director for the website, story ideas, social media posts, monthly newsletters, etc. This role will also support additional stewardship activities related to Dean’s Circle and VolStarter.

Qualifications

 

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree with 1+ years of experience in an office setting is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with organization and an eye for detail when completing tasks.

A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required due to travel responsibilities of the position. UTFI reserves the right to consider all appropriate circumstances.  In general, any significant driving offense less than 12 months old will eliminate the application from consideration for the position.
