Job Description:

The Graduate School of Geography at Clark University invites applications for a tenure track, Advanced Assistant or Associate Professor of Economic Geography, starting August 2023, to join our internationally recognized program in Geography and contribute to our long-standing strength in the field of economic geography. Excellence in research and publication, potential to secure extramural funding, and capacities for strong undergraduate and graduate teaching, advising, and mentoring are required.  We are especially interested in applicants who make innovative and substantive contributions to theoretical and empirical research agendas centered in the field of economic geography.  

Specific themes may include, but are not limited to  (listed alphabetically): development, economic dimensions of climate change, feminist thought, globalization (e.g., financialization, global production networks), political economy, racial capitalisms, regional and technological change, and/or sustainability transitions. Prospective candidates will be expected to have a wide-ranging knowledge of, and vision for, the field of economic geography, demonstrated editorial experience, and a willingness and capacity to take on a future leadership role in managing the Clark-owned journal, Economic Geography (https://www.tandfonline.com/journals/recg20) . 

Candidates will also have opportunities to contribute to interdisciplinary teaching in Clark's curricula in Area Studies, Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies; International Development, Community, and the Environment; Urban Studies; and/or Women's and Gender Studies.
