ADMISSIONS SPECIALIST

Updated: about 1 month ago
Location: Seattle, WASHINGTON
Deadline: 02 Apr 2024

Academic & Student Affairs (ASA) is a division of the Office of the Provost. Our mission is to enhance the student experience for all students—to, through, and beyond the university—inside and outside the classroom (in person and online). We provide oversight, foster collaboration, pilot new ideas, and unify strategic efforts in and beyond ASA to ensure broad and universal alignment with UW values. We highlight and amplify strategic efforts within ASA and the broader ASA alliance (Graduate School, Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity, Student Life, Undergraduate Academic Affairs, and ASA Advancement) consistent with UW values to create a leading edge student experience.

The Office of Admissions, a subunit of ASA, has an outstanding opportunity for an Admissions Specialist to work with all domestic applicants with a focus on transfer applicants. The mission of the Undergraduate Office of Admission is to attract and enroll talented and diverse students in order to help create an intellectually and culturally vibrant student body. The values of the University – integrity, diversity, excellence, collaboration, innovation and respect – are exemplified by the Office of Admissions.

The Admissions team is seeking a detail-oriented individual who shares in these values and is interested in joining a fast-paced work environment as an Admissions Specialist (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv) to assist in the coordination of all application materials for a University that receives over 50,000 undergraduate applications annually. This position will report to the Assistant Director who oversees transfer application processing. The Office of Admissions has been moving to a paperless working environment so this position is almost exclusively computer-based.
