Duties and Responsibilities:

Student Recruitment:

  • In coordination with supervisor, coordinate and implement various events, activities and presentations to recruit and yield new first- time freshman, and transfer students with direction from the Recruitment Manager.
  • Serve as a resource when meeting individually with prospective students and their families to discuss the academic and career opportunities afforded by a Purdue Liberal Arts degree.
  • Conduct presentations as needed within Admissions programs and College hosted events. Purdue’s For Me, Introducing Purdue, Experience Liberal Arts and Virtual sessions.  
  • Travel to local high schools and various targeted underrepresented population schools within Purdue’s mission in undergraduate enrollment.
  • Assist the Recruitment Manager with Liberal Arts inclusion initiatives and Purdue Office of Admissions to increase the outreach, identification, and recruit special populations and first-generation college students to Liberal Arts.
  • Some travel and work on nights and weekends will be required.


Administration:

  • In collaboration with the Recruitment Manager and the CLA Marketing and Communications team, conceptualize and design presentations and materials for future students and their families to be presented at College events and Purdue Admissions programs.
  • Serve as contact to respond to recruiting questions via phone, in person, virtually, and email.
  • Assist with e-mail marketing for all recruitment and outreach activities.

 

Qualifications: 

Required: 

  • BA/BS, preferably in any Liberal Arts field, Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, or related field, as well as 0 – 1 year of recruitment or directly related experience.  Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred: 

  • Experience in higher education
  • Experience with Liberal Arts majors and academic programs
