ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
The USF Health Taneja College of Pharmacy (TCOP) is managed by the Dean and an actively engaged administrative leadership team. The mission of the college is to Transform Health through educating students to be outstanding and successful practitioners and leaders in the profession; through leading in discovery and innovation of education and practice in pharmacy; and through delivering the highest quality care in diverse, interprofessional clinical and community settings.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Admissions Recruiter/Advisor supports the recruitment and enrollment efforts of the Office of Admissions with specific efforts targeted to the recruitment of graduate students. This position requires considerable contact with academic advisors and prospective in colleges and universities throughout Florida, out of state, and internationally. He/she assists in the planning and implementation of an array of recruitment strategies. He/she must be able to respond effectively to potential students who may be confused or demanding.  This contact requires demonstrated interpersonal, communication and computer skills. The advisor is expected to possess extensive knowledge about the College as whole, curriculum, program policies, procedures, and student support services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in the planning and implementation of recruitment and yield events to include but not limited to on- and off-campus and virtual events as well as development of pipeline programs.  Will participate in recruitment travel to high schools, colleges, and career/health fairs to conduct formal presentations. Will be able to travel independently and navigate major highways.  Assists in the development of recruitment and marketing materials, and recruitment summary reports. While traveling for recruitment, transport current research students as needed.
Responds to inquiries and advises prospective students regarding academic admissions requirements, admissions policies and procedures in person and in group settings, by telephone, correspondence, email, and virtual forums.
Develop and maintain close working relationships with COP graduate programs, USF Health Pre-Admissions team, academic advisors, department chairs, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Develops and maintains inquiry database which may include GRE and TOEFL search names, and other third party vendors.
Assists in processing application materials. Maintain confidential admissions and advising records.
Consults with Director of Admissions regarding policies, trends, and program needs following specific instructions. Makes recommendations for improvement to overall processes. Provide support for quality assurance for Admissions.
Perform related duties as required or deemed necessary to meet the advising goals within the Advisor's scope of responsibility. Cross trained to support PharmD recruitment and enrollment.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in related field. Alternatively, in specialized academic areas, the position may require a degree in that field of study.
Four years of direct experience can substitute for Bachelor's Degree (SB 1310).
PREFERRED:
Reliability, dependability and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision are essential. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external constituents at all levels are required. Knowledge of admissions and advising processes, strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities in a team atmosphere, and maintain confidentiality of information. Skill in exercising initiative, resourcefulness, and sound judgment with an ability to solve problems and make decisions. Must have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize ongoing projects and new projects necessary to implementing admissions and recruiting. Must have a solid understanding of process improvement and be able to anticipate needs. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), CRM, marketing automation, and Banner or similar student record system. Experience in higher education environment required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

May supervise work-study students.
