Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Undergraduate Transfer Admissions Counselor - will coordinate with principal partner leads at various regional, and designated extra-regional two-year institutions to maintain relationships and schedule off site engagement events to connect with prospective students, establish faculty advocacy, and drive applications into our articulated programs. Engage with regional military base Education Services Officers (ESOs) to explore recruitment and outreach opportunities for military personnel and their dependents.

In addition, this person will be responsible for coordinating special events for admissions including 

on-campus and virtual events. As the coordinator, you will communicate and collaborate with stakeholders including internal staff/departments and external vendors to execute events. Must maintain protocols and checklists and own primary responsibility for executing communication plan for special events. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Oversee the recruitment of prospective transfer and adult students within assigned territories, utilizing various communication channels including in-person meetings, CRM, email, text messaging, and phone conversations.

    Collaborate with faculty to establish and maintain articulation agreements.

    Identify and cultivate partnerships and articulation opportunities with external institutions, coordinating discussions with relevant stakeholders.

    Develop and execute a comprehensive transfer recruitment and communications plan, setting clear enrollment targets.

    Lead the organization and execution of on-campus and virtual undergraduate recruitment events. Collaborate with internal departments for event logistics and communication.

    Transfer Credit Evaluation: Coordinate alongside the Records and Registration Office, the evaluation of incoming transcripts, professional certifications, CLEP, DANTES, and Joint Service Transcripts for adult, military, and transfer students.

    Establish an evaluation methodology to measure the effectiveness of events and report results to team members and the Director of Admissions.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

    Must have valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and be able to travel. 

    Strong relationship management skills

    Experience in meeting or exceeding enrollment targets

    Excellent communication skills across various channels

    Strategic planning and event coordination experience

    Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook

    Flexibility, dedication, initiative, confidentiality and the ability to learn.

    Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred

    2-3 years of professional or related experience in higher education preferred
