The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is seeking an Admissions Counselor & Staff Assistant. The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the fourth largest public dental school in the United States and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The college is divided into ten divisions with all major ADA-recognized dental specialties represented. The College has approximately 600 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.


The Admissions Counselor & Staff Assistant will support the Office of Admissions DDS and Dental Hygiene outreach and recruitment efforts. Duties include, but are not limited to recruitment, marketing, public relations work, planning and implementing recruitment events, developing promotional materials, and processing and reviewing admission applications.

M-F; 7:30am-4:30pm. Occasional weekends and evenings as needed.

This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Counseling, Higher Education, Public Relations, or related field and a minimum of one year of related experience in Higher Education, sales, marketing, or public relations; computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, database management, and social media platforms; excellent communication skills with diverse populations, both verbal and written; strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to solve problems and work independently

Desired: Knowledge of WebAdmit, Workday, and Microsoft Access; dental school admissions process; familiarity with content management systems. Two years of experience preferred.
