Bachelor's degree in related field and one year of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.  Grade ND1 Wage Minimum $15.41/hr

Position Description

The primary functions of this position are to assist in the development, implementation and assessment of services and programs for transfer and adult students including management of all adult student population recruitment. To assist with the coordination of the recruitment of transfer students and to review and adjudicate transfer and adult applicants for admissions. The position advises, counsels, and connects perspective students with a variety of resources on campus including Financial Aid, Housing, and advising.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Exclusive recruitment of adult student population
    • Pre-admission services of weekly check-ins (phone call or text), step-by-step through admission process.
    • Admitted services of weekly check-ins for next steps leading up to the first week of classes.
    • Post enrollment (after the first week of classes) check-in to see how things are.
    • Serves as liaison between students and departments.
  • Office liaison to the Assistant Provost for Adult Students
  • Serve as University's Project Graduate college advocate.
  • Advise, counsel, and inform prospective students, parents and others seeking information about the University. Serve as counselor on call several times per month.
  • Assist with review and admission decisions of application, readmitted students, petition students, and continuing studies students.
  • Coordinate and participate in both off-campus and on-campus programs designed to introduce prospective students to the campus and other facets of the University.
  • Assist with the Osher Reentry scholarship, including maintaining frequent contact with applicants regarding missing materials, deadlines, and other important information.
  • Represent the Office of Admissions on the Behavioral Review Committee (BRC).
