The Office of Medical Admissions annually processes over 5,000 applications for admissions. This is a data driven process requiring the accurate and efficient management of application materials and the establishment of a professional rapport with all constituents including staff, applicants, faculty, and alumni of Creighton University. The Admissions Coordinator will assist the Office of Medical Admissions in its goal to enroll students of diverse backgrounds to the School of Medicine that best fit our mission, vision, and goals. This position will report to the Director of Admissions. Primary responsibilities will include the following:

Monitor correspondence of office mail and email. Compose and draft correspondence, reports and other written materials with both direct and indirect guidance.

Provide assistance throughout the admissions process to prospective and current applicants.

Maintain and update applicant files in admissions system.

Prepare materials for weekly admissions committee meeting and process committee decisions.

Prepare special reports and summarize and analyze admissions data.

Assist with on-campus events (interviews, recruitment and visit day).  

Supervise work study students- Hire, schedule, assign tasks.


Qualifications:
Associates' Degree
2-4 years' experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to multi-task.
Demonstrated customer service focus and ability to resolve conflict and deal with demanding clients.
Ability to think independently and analyze problems and reach solutions.
Ability to work independently and anticipate required work and self-initiate projects that have periodic or cyclical deadlines.
Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
