Admissions Coordinator
Law Admissions
Location:  New Orleans, LA
Summary

The Law School Office of Admissions is responsible for recruiting and enrolling students in graduate law programs. The office emphasizes leadership, professionalism, and customer service. Two Admission Coordinators are responsible for being a front-line contact with prospective students, collecting all data-related aspects of the admission process, and managing data entry and flow into various databases. The Admissions Coordinators both report to the Director of Admission and work as a team to provide day-to-day administrative operations, including processing of applications, collecting all required enrollment documentation, uploading and downloading application data, and maintaining the integrity of the admission database. The Coordinators also provide support to admissions officers in connection with off-campus travel (e.g.  shipping materials, registering for events). Finally, the Coordinators, under the direction of the office’s Associate Director, provide event and visitation program management support, as needed.



Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·       Proficient computer keyboard speed and accuracy skills

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills

·       Computer and numerical literacy including CRM systems familiarity.

·       Ability to review documents and determine whether they meet requirements for application completion as well as for pre-matriculation character/fitness requirements.

·       Ability to operate electronic office machines (copier, fax, scanners, etc.)

·       Ability to work with internal and external constituencies. 

·       Strong organizational skills

·       Ability to work independently and manage multiple project assignments in a mostly paperless environment.



Required Education and/or Experience

·       High School Diploma or Equivalent

·       2 years of experience working in a data-driven environment including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.



Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience in a higher education admissions office.
Compensation Information
This position is classified as "non-exempt, hourly" and is assigned to pay grade 23.
