This position on the Norman campus supports growth in enrollment through student recruitment, admissions, and retention for both Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) students on the Norman campus. It also helps to coordinate recruitment events, organizes the review of student applications, assists with course scheduling, coordinates the student scholarship application and awarding process, ensures all graduate faculty members have graduate faculty status, and helps to ensure all required undergraduate and graduate student forms and deadlines are met. Provides direct support to BASW and MSW program coordinators.
Duties include:
- Participate in recruiting events across campus, at community colleges, and within the surrounding community to promote social work degrees to prospective students.
- Develop high level knowledge of social work programs to represent the school in the community to potential students.
- Develop engaging recruitment materials for use in recruitment activities and to circulate via social media and other channels.
- Coordinate, establish and deliver some programs for recruitment, open houses, orientations and other student events.
- Meet with prospective undergraduate and graduate students in person, by phone, and zoom.
- Work with Graduate and Undergraduate Coordinators to coordinate course schedule in line with university requirements.
- Responsible for analyzing trends in the student recruitment and retention process to inform decisions around the creation of the class schedule.
- Oversee the Undergraduate and Graduate admissions process by disseminating admission information, maintaining regular communication with applicants, and analyzing admission data to update and inform the administrators.
- Manage enrollment in courses, balancing student numbers and managing wait lists.
- Manage communication to current students, prospective students, and external stakeholders: informational items, deadlines, enrollment, financial aid opportunities, program changes and events.
- Develop and maintain systems for graduate and undergraduate scholarships in coordination with Tulsa campus.
- Maintain and update student records and database.
- Assist coordinators with petitions or special correspondence to deans.
- Maintain Graduate Faculty Appointments for all Graduate Faculty.
- Maintain faculty contact list for university records.
- Participates in preparing annual report for Council on Social Work Education
- Entering information for new courses and programs into university systems
- Serve on committees related to admissions, enrollment, and recruitment as needed.
- Serves as liaison between other colleges, admissions and records, information technology and other relevant local, regions, and national associations.
- Serves as a member of various project teams and may lead projects.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of the position.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree, AND:
- 12 months of related experience.
Equivalency Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the bachelor's degree for a total of 60 months of related experience.
Skills:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills
- Computer skills, including proficiency in navigating and maintaining databases.
- Some travel required for recruiting.
- Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
- Highly organized and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to communicate well and build rapport with students, faculty and staff.
- Ability to read and interpret policy as well as State and Federal regulations.
- Customer service skills.
