Position Highlights

The Regional Recruiter,Pacific Northwest position (based in the greater Seattle area) is responsible for managing an assigned domestic, non-resident recruitment territory, forming recruitment plans and activities to meet the stated enrollment goals of the University. This position interprets admissions policies, academic policies and requirements, and student service policies and procedures, and effectively communicates these along with the UAZ story to prospective students, parents, high school counselors, community college administrators, advisors, community based organizations and other faculty and staff. The Regional Recruiter is also responsible for the proper expenditure of budget resources for recruitment activities, programs, and travel. This position is responsible for managing their assigned territory by setting goals, monitoring success, forming relationships, analyzing recruitment and enrollment outcomes, and keeping and accurate record of their work. This position is a regional position for the recruitment team and must be based out of the regional area of greater Seattle area and prepared to travel frequently to surrounding areas and other out of state territories as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manages assigned recruitment territory, forming and implementing recruitment plans and activities that resonate with the students and families in those regions in order to meet desired goals. Tracks progress toward goals and determines interventions and supports accordingly.
  • Coordinate regional events and specialized programming, including acting as lead on event planning, logistics, and staffing needs. Work with the national recruitment team to support broader initiatives and events.
  • Works in partnership with recruitment leadership to analyze current recruitment trends and develop proactive recruitment initiatives. Actively and independently leads engagement with prospective students, counselors, parents and other constituents regarding the admission process, procedures and related academic information. Researches, designs and implements strategic recruitment activities for territory in collaboration with supervisor and other Enrollment Management leadership. Ensures documentation of their work and territory along with reporting out activities. Stays up to date on institutional information and policy.
  • Uses professional judgment to create a recruitment schedule, travel, and strategy based on specific, targeted enrollment goals for their assigned territory. Undertakes extensive regional travel to meet specific territory goals (15-20 weeks annually), including evening and weekend programs as needed and as determined by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Follows institutional travel policy and protocol.
  • Represents the institution in a variety of capacities, including but not limited to: college fairs, classroom/counseling center visits, panels, virtual engagements, 1:1 engagements, presentations, events, and more. Advises students interpreting pathways to UArizona regarding academics, funding, admission, and opportunities. Serve as a resource specialist for communication of complex and sensitive information with respect to application, scholarship/financial aid, residency determination, academic advising/academic requirements and admission to the University. Supports students in their direct territory, along with the larger Office of Admissions. Develop communications, presentations, and other resources to support territory and office needs.
  • Provide excellent customer service to territory and assist broader office in regards to student support, including participation in calling campaigns, email campaigns, SMS, and more.
  • Develops keen understanding regarding their territory's needs, trends, and opportunities regarding recruitment and admissions. Is engaged in their territory forming relationships with key stakeholders, alumni, community based organizations, regional groups, and more. Is actively engaged with the national recruitment team and involved in broader Office of Undergraduate Admissions work.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
  • This position requires the employee to have prior experience working in either higher education or in a high school. The employee must have relative experience working with high school students in order to best serve the specific guidance needs of students.
  • This is a regional based position and the employee must be physically located in the geographical location as specified in the job description. The employee will work out of a home office and be required to compete both day travel, overnight travel and event on weekends. Travel will be most intensive during the fall and spring months.
  • Ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy .

  • Master’s Degree in Education is preferred.
