Vaccination Requirement | The University of Nebraska Medicine Center (UNMC) requires COVID-19 vaccinations for all students, staff, and faculty. All employees must be fully vaccinated unless they have requested and been approved for an exemption based on a recognized medical reason, a sincerely held religious belief, or a pre-approved, 100% remote work agreement. Fully vaccinated means having received one dose of a single dose COVID-19 vaccine (Johnson & Johnson) or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series (Moderna and Pfizer). As a prospective and/or a new employee at UNMC, you will be/are required to comply with the UNMC’s vaccination protocol. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers will have five (5) days from the date of hire to provide proof of partial or full vaccination or to request a medical or religious exemption. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers with proof of partial vaccination may have up to thirty-five (35) days from the hire date to be in full compliance with this policy. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers who receive a denial of a request for medical or religious exemption will be given five (5) business days from exemption denial notification date to provide proof of compliance with this policy. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers with no approved exemption who fail to comply with this policy will be separated. |

Position Summary | Responsible for the Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep & Division’s fiscal and administrative oversight, and accountable to the Internal Medicine Chair, Department Administrator, and Division Chief for adherence to all UNMC and Nebraska Medicine (NM) policies & procedures. Coordinate the division’s business affairs, manage its non-faculty personnel, and work with UNMC and NM regarding the division’s finances and clinical billing. Work with multiple partner organizations (UNMC, NM, VA, and) to accomplish the educational, research and clinical goals of the department and division. Collaborate with Nebraska Medicine regarding financial and clinical matters related to sleep medicine, pulmonary function testing, and the AICU. Collaborate with NM personnel regarding clinical matters. Responsible for contract negotiations, budget development, and management in both basic and clinical research. |
