Vaccination Requirement

The University of Nebraska Medicine Center (UNMC) requires COVID-19 vaccinations for all students, staff, and faculty. All employees must be fully vaccinated unless they have requested and been approved for an exemption based on a recognized medical reason, a sincerely held religious belief, or a pre-approved, 100% remote work agreement. Fully vaccinated means having received one dose of a single dose COVID-19 vaccine (Johnson & Johnson) or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series (Moderna and Pfizer).

Position Summary
Responsible for the Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep & Division’s fiscal and administrative oversight, and accountable to the Internal Medicine Chair, Department Administrator, and Division Chief for adherence to all UNMC and Nebraska Medicine (NM) policies & procedures. Coordinate the division’s business affairs, manage its non-faculty personnel, and work with UNMC and NM regarding the division’s finances and clinical billing. Work with multiple partner organizations (UNMC, NM, VA, and) to accomplish the educational, research and clinical goals of the department and division. Collaborate with the Division Chief on long range planning and development. Collaborate with Nebraska Medicine regarding financial and clinical matters related to sleep medicine, pulmonary function testing, and the AICU. Collaborate with NM personnel regarding clinical matters. Responsible for contract negotiations, budget development, and management in both basic and clinical research.

Education 
1. Knowledge of evaluation systems to assist in the design of faculty and student evaluations
