Vaccination Requirement

The University of Nebraska Medicine Center (UNMC) requires COVID-19 vaccinations for all students, staff, and faculty. All employees must be fully vaccinated unless they have requested and been approved for an exemption based on a recognized medical reason, a sincerely held religious belief, or a pre-approved, 100% remote work agreement. Fully vaccinated means having received one dose of a single dose COVID-19 vaccine (Johnson & Johnson) or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series (Moderna and Pfizer).


As a prospective and/or a new employee at UNMC, you will be/are required to comply with the UNMC’s vaccination protocol. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers will have five (5) days from the date of hire to provide proof of partial or full vaccination or to request a medical or religious exemption. Position Summary
Responsible for the General Internal Medicine Division’s fiscal and administrative oversight and accountable to the Internal Medicine Chair, Department Administrator and Division Chief for adherence to all UNMC and Nebraska Medicine policies and procedures. Coordinate the division’s business affairs, manage its non-faculty personnel, and work with Nebraska Medicine regarding the division’s finances, clinical billing and collection activities. Work with multiple partner organizations (UNMC, Nebraska Medicine and the VA) to accomplish the educational, research and clinical goals of the department and division. Collaborate with the Division Chief on long range planning and development, management to coordinate the division and section business affairs and productivity measures. Responsible for multiple budget preparations. Collaborate with the Nebraska Medicine Primary Care Service Line regarding financial and clinical matters.
