Job LocationCollege Station, Texas
Develop new processes and SOPs for faculty hiring, retention/equity, reclassification, etc.
Work with the 15 departmental administrative assistants to ensure they have the latest templates and information for all faculty affairs processes and procedures.
Work with various departments to assist in the development of new programs that will be associated with the Aplin Center by coordinating meetings, taking notes, writing reports, etc. to share with Dr. Savell and Dr. Gehring on the various possibilities as they evolve.
Office operations - Manage phone, calendar and correspondence for Executive Associate Dean and host visitors to the office.
Manage office operations (student workers, scheduling, supplies, coordination with related Dean and agency offices, etc.) for the Executive Associate Dean.
Make travel arrangements and prepare travel vouchers for the Executive Associate Dean.
Make logistical arrangements for meetings and social events for the Executive Associate Dean and Dean.
Coordinate approval for use and prepare/submit reports for Executive Associate Dean office procurement card.
College administrative support - Through coordination activities, assist Executive Associate Dean in faculty, department and College matters such as hiring/credentialing and unit evaluation.
Use Compass, DARS and other databases to access and develop information summaries for the Executive Associate Dean. College communications -
Provide information and assistance as requested by administrators in the University, College, System agencies as well as faculty, staff and students.
Coordinate with and respond to a variety of University offices on behalf of the Executive Associate Dean, Dean and College.
Serve as the College point of communication contact for faculty and staff programs and information.
Coordinate College-wide calls for proposals and their transmission to the appropriate reviewers or funding offices.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (4 years of experience with high school graduation or 2 years of experience with an Associate's degree) plus an additional 7 or more years of experience in office administration or project management in a large organization.
