Description of Work
This position provides oversight of administrative, and operational activities for the Department. Supports Department Chair: maintains calendars, arranges meetings, organizes ongoing projects, analyzes enrollment trends and completes course schedules. Liaison to Oldfather Business Cooperative and Dean’s Office staff. Office Manager and supervisor for office support staff. Plans and administers department events including the annual Language Fair. Designs and manages content for websites, highlighting departmental activities and oversees social media. Liaison to College Marketing and Communications team.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree plus four years of experience in an administrative role; equivalent education/experience considered. Must know how to run the full Microsoft Office and other critical office programs. Experience must demonstrate computer skills, including common office software, and excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Must possess the ability to work independently or in teams, coordinate workflow, and prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. Prior use of SAP and knowledgeable about academic environment helpful. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, MyRed, Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and Word).
