Work Schedule
8:00 am to 5:00 pm; Monday – Friday.
Position may be eligible for up to 1-2 days of telework once onboarding is complete and with supervisor approval.
Primary Purpose of Position
Position provides administrative support to the two Associate Deans, assists the Student Compliance Specialist with affiliation agreement and student compliance verification processes, and serves as an administrative backup to the Executive Assistant to the Dean. General administrative duties include initiating transactions and travel processes, work orders, and meeting/event scheduling, course schedule building, support for college-level faculty on-boarding and development initiatives, and support for college-level student affairs processes. Student compliance related duties include assistance with routine notifications related to affiliation agreement expiration and renewal, communications regarding liability insurance certificates, and other recurring communications during periods of high demand.
Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from high school; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from high school, or completion of its equivalency, and two years of office/clerical work experience; or an equivalent combination of training/experience.
Essential Job Duties
  • Provides administrative support to the two Associate Deans.
  • Assists the Student Compliance Specialist with affiliation agreement and student compliance verification processes.
  • Serves as an administrative backup to the Executive Assistant to the Dean.
  • General administrative duties include:

  • Student compliance related duties include:
  • Assistance with routine notifications related to affiliation agreement expiration and renewal, communications regarding liability insurance certificates, and other recurring communications during periods of high demand.
Other Work Responsibilities
  • Responds to inquiries which require written explanation or interpretation of established policies, procedures and programs.
  • Reviews sensitive materials and edits content constructively.
  • Applies knowledge and interpretation of policies and procedures to provide positive and supportive communication of information in alignment with preferences of Dean’s Office leadership.
  • Responds calmly to people under stress or expressing displeasure with situational factors. Based on delegated authority from Associate Deans or Student Compliance Specialist, assesses issues, identifies potential solutions, and to provide clear communication regarding steps for resolution.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
  • College Degree preferred.
  • Three years of administrative experience, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Advanced skills in excel, Microsoft office programs, Gmail and calendar applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with a variety of consumers (faculty, staff, students, external agencies, visitors, and families).
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve and propose solutions.
