Unit Description:
The Office of Student Conduct facilitates a culture of accountability through shared ownership of NC State’s community standards. We support academic excellence, encourage responsible decision-making, and promote the safety and wellbeing of our community. Through a fair and equitable resolution process, we educate students on the impact of their conduct and attempt to affect behavioral change.
Essential Job Duties
The Administrative Support Associate supports the day to day function of the Office of Student Conduct. 
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
  • Assist in managing information and case-related data in the conduct process.
  • Respond to phone contacts and schedule student meetings for the staff.
  • Maintain confidential records and conduct background checks for agencies and units internal and external to the University.
  • Manage the office email account and respond to inquiries with accurate information.
  • Collaborate with the staff within the Office of Student Conduct regarding case follow-up.
  • Assist hearing officers in scheduling formal hearings.
Other Responsibilities
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Minimum Experience/Education
High School Diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Other Required Qualifications
  • Must have well developed customer service skills and be able to interact with clients that present as frustrated, angry, confused, and scared.
  • Must demonstrate sensitivity to the varying needs of the staff they serve with regard to workload, phone contact management, and the timely notification of deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and error free work are necessities in working with the conduct database.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the management of confidential materials.

Preferred Qualifications
Five years of experience in support services role.
