Job Duties:


This position provides administrative and secretarial support for the Department of Addictions and Rehabilitation Studies in the College of Allied Health Sciences, which is an academic unit with 10 state funded faculty positions and 2 state funded office assistants. This position provides administrative support for the department including, student records, student travel, as well as providing information to potential applicants for the department's bachelor, master's and PhD programs, and information to the public. This position will also coordinate distance education certificate program support, and provide clerical support for the department chair, 10 faculty and the 4 or 5 adjunct faculty each semester.

Organizational Unit Overview:


The Department of Addictions and Rehabilitation Studies (DARS) maintains a teaching faculty 10 state funded faculty positions, 2 state funded office assistants, and 4 or 5 adjunct faculty each semester (all full-time faculty in DARS have 12 month contracts). There are three graduate programs, two undergraduate programs (rehabilitation services major and alcohol and drug studies minor), and 3 certificate programs. There is an annual allocation of graduate assistants to the programs.
