Working within UW Medicine’s Primary Care (UWMPC) at our South Lake Union Administrative Office, our Administrative Specialist functions as critical departmental ambassador, and the primary assistant and liaison supporting at least three Directors/Administrators, and other Assistant Directors and Associate Medical Directors.

The Administrative Specialist is an organizational and time-management champion who leads crucial aspects of managing schedules, calendars, in-person and virtual meetings, and the coordination of day-to-day workflows of our department. Scheduling is performed with sensitivity to the issues within the organization, and with a keen understanding of the time required for a specific meeting, and the preparation time required by management.

This is a full-time, exempt position that is Remote-first Hybrid, and requires availability for on-site work at times. The first three weeks of training may be onsite at our South Lake Union Administrative Office.

Our Administrative Specialist’s day-to-day activities involve collaboration between and among Primary Care policy, human resource management, strategic initiatives, and value management.  They are responsible to ensure that our leadership teams are apprised of meeting dates and appointments. They provide supporting materials on a timely basis issue critical reminders and alerts, while managing important commitments to ensure that all deadlines and obligations are met.
