ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
The College of Education works to promote transformative education and social justice through rigorous research, innovative teaching, as well as locally and globally engaged partnerships with the vision of serving as a leader in regional, national, and international education. The College of Education offers various degree and certificate programs to prepare our students to become leaders, researchers, and scholars within various areas of study. With small class sizes and an abundance of research opportunities available, students have direct access to our faculty and ongoing research projects.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Administrative Specialists will perform a wide range of administrative and general office assistant duties including communication to stakeholders, preparing reports and presentations, responding to inquiries and information requests, planning meetings, processing petitions, collecting and documenting data, and researching and resolving issues as appropriate.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical Education - Utilize technology to develop collaborative space where stakeholders can submit, view, and update clinical placement information. Collect and monitor field placements related to teacher preparation programs across multiple programs, levels, and districts. Create reports of relevant data and disseminate information about clinical placements to stakeholders. Identifies teachers/supervisors eligible for tuition vouchers. Collects and processes requests. Documents vouchers issued.
Admissions - Maintain admissions application and coordinate process each term.  Notify students of admissions decisions and update records. Collect and report admissions data. Request updates to admissions website. Communicate with program faculty and advisors related to the admissions process.
Communication - Acts as an initial point of contact for the Office of Clinical Education and Student Academic Services.
Communicates professionally, with accuracy, and in a timely fashion to/with stakeholders using a variety of mediums/technologies based on target audiences to include the following; directors, program faculty, students, teachers, and other school district, college, or campus personnel.
General Administrative/Office Support - Supports directors of OCE and SAS by scheduling events, meetings, and trainings. Assists directors with general office management duties including administrative tasks associate with hiring, letters of offer, ordering materials/supplies, and event/programming coordination. Offers technology and front desk support. Requests/makes necessary updates to website and office materials. Creates/maintains a training manual.
FTCE Resources - Maintain FTCE test preparation materials. Markets resources to students. Coordinates GKT Boot Camps. Submits pay for facilitators.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least four years of experience in an office or administrative support position. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
PREFERRED:
Undergraduate degree in education or related field and least two years of administrative work experience in a college or university setting.  W
ork experience in PK-12 school contexts.
