Responsibilities

The Business Development Liaison for the Department of Radiology will be accountable for developing relationships with referring offices and implementing short and long-term plans to optimize referring patterns for the region. The incumbent will report to a Clinic Manager to set priorities and goals for each region, while setting standard work and sharing best practices with the Radiology Business Development Program.

The incumbent will maintain open, collaborative, responsive and consultative working relationships with the staff and faculty within Radiology as well as personnel from other sections. Incumbent independently prioritizes and completes assignments.  Incumbent reports directly to Clinic Manager to receive specific assignments, goals, and objectives for each region.

Work may be assigned by Radiology Clinic managers, Program Director of Sports Partnerships and respective Center Medical Directors to support coordination of department special projects and events.  The incumbent will collaborate with other members of Business Development Team to set standard work and share best practices, while following strategic guidance from the Business Development Program Leadership.

The Business Development Liaison must possess skills and abilities to successfully manage a complex set of responsibilities including:

Demonstrates maintained technical expertise in assigned clinical area including an operation of a variety of imaging equipment.

Knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Radiology Information Systems and Hospital Information Systems.

Management skills to maintain and organize complex ongoing projects.

Skill in operating a computer using various programs and databases: e.g. Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc., EDB, PTR, BIS, Internet, etc.
Ability to act as liaison to faculty, staff, patients, families, and other visitors.

Ability to speak in a concise, diplomatic and respectful manner.

Skill in proofreading/editing for spelling, continuity, punctuation and grammar.

Skill in prioritizing projects and assignments to complete work in a timely and accurate manner.

Working knowledge of medical terminology.

Ability to read and follow precise written instructions for preparing various forms.

Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, patients and others.

Excellent written communications skills to compose and edit letters, memos and other correspondence using proper grammar, punctuation, spelling and syntax.

Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle unexpected situations.

Excellent analytical skills with ability to review detailed work.

Demonstrated skill in financial analysis, planning, preparation and administration for a budget with multiple complex funding sources.

Demonstrated ability to design, modify, and generate spreadsheets, create formulas, modify formats and run various reports in Excel.

Ability to organize and manage large volumes of material in an established system with careful attention to detail.

Demonstrated skill in assessing situations, anticipating problems, gathering information or data, and recommending solutions.

Ability to handle sensitive materials and confidential information with discretion and tact.

Ability to function as a team member and to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and skill in setting priorities to meet rigorous deadlines
