Summary of Job Duties:

The Administrative Specialist III is responsible for coordinating office activities, researching & preparing special reports, & developing, revising, & recommending administrative policies & procedures as directed by supervisor.
Job Duties:
Performs receptionist duties and provides clientele services for the Plant Health Clinic and Plant Pathology faculty and staff located at the Lonoke Ag Center. Answers the telephone and responds to inquiries and requests or directs callers and visitors to the apppropriate staff member.
Maintains records for the Plant Health Clinic. Manually and electronically logs in and distributes plant samples that come into the clinic. Enters the information in the appropriate computer software program. Enters diagnosis of plant disease.
Provides secretarial support to Plant Pathology faculty and staff at the Lonoke Ag Center. Assists with the preparation and copying of documents or materials that are needed for meetings, workshops, and trainings. Types and submits letters, emails, and other documents. Maintains files consisting of correspondence, reports, and subject matter material.
Assists staff in the Lonoke County Extension Office if needed., Types and submits weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
Prepares and submits travel forms and expense reimbursements for the specialists in the department.
Assists with gathering, editing, printing, and entering data for various documents and reports such as evaluation narratives, newsletters, and training materials. Processes monthly vehicle reports

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus one year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field; plus three years of experience in specialized or a related field applicable to work performed.
