HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
Georgia State University Dual Enrollment provides the opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to enroll part-time or full-time to earn both high school and college credits. Participation is permitted during the normal fall, spring and summer semesters of the college school year.
The Dual Enrollment Administrative Specialist will join a team responsible for the coordination and management of the Dual Enrollment population at Georgia State University, with an average population of over 2,000 students per year.
The Dual Enrollment Administrative Specialist will assist students and parents through recruitment, admissions and funding application processes, orientation, and registration. This position will also assist in communication with high school administrators and guidance departments to ensure seamless communication between Georgia State University and our senior high school partners.
Essential position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Review and manage a select population of dual enrollment records from admissions through registration and across multiple terms ensuring equal distribution of the dual enrollment population
Utilize University technologies to compile, enter and verify data for all incoming dual enrollment students within the Banner and *Navigate platforms to keep an accurate record of registration and approved courses. The position will also monitor financial approvals through various reports within Slate and through the Georgia Student Finance Commission.
Educate external customers on dual enrollment policies as well as troubleshoot issues as needed. Provide extensive communication to dual enrollment students, parents, and school counselors via phone and email, conveying information in a professional manner with clarity, accuracy, and a strong emphasis on customer service.
Apply strong troubleshooting and conflict resolution skills when needed and exercise judgment in making decisions and interpreting Office, University and Board of Regents policies relevant to Dual Enrollment within the Office of Student Success.
Utilize various technologies in tracking course offerings and course demand based on the needs of our dual enrollment students each term, ensuring the university is offering the appropriate number of courses as well as appropriate dates and times
Salary $43,100 with benefits
Alpharetta Campus **Occasional work at Atlanta campus**
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:15 PM in office
