Administrative Program Coordinator
Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
Location:  New Orleans, LA
Summary
The Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies has primary responsibility for graduate students and programs at Tulane University, as well as tracking and providing assistance for postdoctoral fellows.  Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Administrative Program Coordinator is the key contact person for the office, and interfaces directly with graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty, and staff in units across the institution.  The Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office, and assists the Director with event planning, development of recruitment materials, and website development.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency using a variety of software, including word processing, and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a customer service focus.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, students, postdoc fellows, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, work independently, and meet assigned deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience with working with budgets.
  • Proficiency with website development, especially content management system.

Required Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited higher education institution

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with higher education administration
  • Graduate degree
  • Proficiency with Drupal
  • Foreign language skills

Compensation Information
This position is classified as "non-exempt, hourly" and is assigned to pay grade 23.
