Position Description:
Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Student Life, this individual will work independently as an office manager and oversee all administrative and support functions for the MBA Student Affairs office. Duties include staffing the reception area and fielding in-person, email, and phone inquiries from students, staff and faculty; establishing and overseeing procedures for daily operation of the MBA Student Affairs office, including the hiring, training and management of student assistants; assisting in the execution of communication, web, and social media-related initiatives; and assisting staff with planning, coordination, and oversight of various MBA Student Affairs programming as needed, including orientation, student club activities, commencement, and special events.
This individual also serves as an administrative assistant to the Associate Dean of the MBA Program and the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. This person will function as a liaison for the Deans with current and prospective students; maintain calendars, files and records; make travel arrangements for Deans, staff and students; and process travel and expense reimbursement requests.
