Description of Work
This position will be responsible for comprehensive management of department operations. The Administrative Coordinator will serve as the liaison to the college administrative unit and university functional offices. The primary responsibilities will be to provide wide-ranging service to the faculty and students of the department. This position will be expected to provide solutions to complex problems, answer a variety of questions, coordinate and execute department events, manage space, and supervise department staff and student employees. Position will be responsible for working to support the Department Chair with the monitoring of the department budget, scholarship awards and fellowship distribution.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus two years of progressively responsible experience to include work in a business or customer service environment; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience supervising employees. Proficiency in document/report preparation and formatting in Word and Excel. Experience must demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational, and detail orientation skills. Ability to work effectively with multiple deadlines and professionally with students, faculty, staff, and community groups.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. Experience in an academic environment. Extensive use of a wide range of electronic communication.

Posted Salary $19.808/hr minimum
