Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Administrative Coordinator for the Center for Faculty Success.  The Center for Faculty Success serves as the hub of the faculty development and advancement initiatives of the Vice Provost for Faculty Advancement and Faculty Affairs in the New Brunswick Chancellor-Provost’s Office. The Administrative Coordinator provides coordination and day-to-day administration of projects and initiatives to advance the mission of the Center for Faculty Success, including in the areas of: new faculty orientation; support, advancement, and mentoring of faculty at all career stages; and development and support of faculty leaders and administrators.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Provides administrative support in the planning and execution of major Center for Faculty Success events, workshops, forums, and other initiatives, including organizing logistics such as facilities, vendors, technology, development of training materials, etc. for events and meetings. 
  • Compiles information, conducts basic research, and analyzes data to support Center for Faculty Success initiatives, including assisting with surveys, focus groups, and program evaluation data collection. 
  • Manages and executes communications for projects, programs, and initiatives led by the Vice Provost for Faculty Advancement and Faculty Affairs, including proactively updating and enhancing the website in collaboration with R-Comm, and creating reports, presentations, and other communications. 
  • Provides programmatic support for additional areas of the Office of the Chancellor-Provost as needed, and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • A minimum of two years relevant experience in a program coordination or administrative function at an institution of higher education or equivalent type of organization.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to self-direct management of multiple priorities. 
  • Ability to interact comfortably and professionally with diverse student, faculty, and senior administrator populations.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and in Qualtrics survey software
  • Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver’s license would be required for this position. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • A broad understanding of Rutgers University and of faculty professional development and faculty leadership development programming and goals.
  • Understanding of data analysis and tools like Tableau.
Equipment Utilized
  •  Knowledge of Rutgers University accounting procedures and software platforms such as Cornerstone/Marketplace, Zoom, Cisco WebEx, ROCS, Microsoft Teams, Qualtrics, Canvas, Sakai, and the other university learning management systems as needed.
