The Administrative Coordinator, under general supervision, works closely with all Texas A&M Athletics Department staff and student-athletes, and provides support related to the day-to-day administration of Athletics Operations and Sports Fields. Applies, interprets and/or assists in implementing operational policies and procedures. Coordinates department's training and certifications.

What you need to know

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

Position details: Supervises - Student Assistants (30-40). Ability to work home football game nights and weekends, as well as breaks and holidays (as needed).

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two years of experience in office administration.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to allocate work assignments and/or task responsibilities, maximizing effectiveness and efficiency of self and others.

  • Ability to analyze problems and develop alternative solutions.

  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in applicable field.

  • More than two years of related experience in athletic facilities and/or operations, project management, or administration. 

  • Knowledge of building management and facility operations.

  • Previous experience managing a student staff.

  • Familiarity with and ability to use various power tools.

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Excellent communication skills and be able to clearly communicate project goals to all members of team.

  • Knowledge of NCAA and SEC Conference rules and regulations.

Essential Duties/Tasks

  • Administrative Support - Participates in the planning and execution of administrative operations. Applies, interprets and/or assists in implementing operational policies and procedures. Coordinates department training and certifications (forklift, slow moving vehicles, etc.) Provides administrative support to the department including, project reports, coordinating travel, meeting and event coordination.

  • Keys / Keyless Entry - Administers day-to-day operation of key issue, return and tracking. Works with HR to on-board new staff and the acquisition of keys and entering into keyless entry system. Assists Facility Manager with day-to-day operation of the keyless entry system. Oversight of yearly key and keyless entry audit. Annual updates to Building Access Policies & Procedures.

  • Student / Part Time Staffing Management - Supervises Student Workers. Oversight of hiring, training, and scheduling. Works closely with Facility Managers on day-to-day task and communication. Annually updates to Student-Assistant handbook and orientation. Manages and distributes gameday gear. erforms other duties as assigned.
