The Performance Nutrition Administrative Coordinator is responsible for general office management of the Performance nutrition. Works under general supervision and provides administrative support for performance nutrition program while exercise discretion and independent judgement within the scope of the position. Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years of experience in office administration.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
  • Planning and organization skills. 
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions, emphasis on attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation applications. 

Other Requirements or Other Factors:

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree
  • Two years of paid or volunteer experience in nutrition, athletic training, strength and conditioning or sports management for a collegiate or professional athletics program

Preferred Licenses and Certifications:

  • Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (www.cdrnet.org )

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Body composition testing with DXA. 
  • Knowledge of Hydration testing using urine specific gravity. 

Responsibilities

  • Red Card Database Management - Manages on boarding and trouble shooting in our team fueling Red Card app. 
  • Office Management - Coordinates the organization of lab results, DXA results, preparticipation evaluation nutrition and supplement disclosure forms. Collects receipts and submits monthly expense reports. Collaborates in developing and editing nutrition education materials. Schedules, coordinates and attends all staff meetings and retreats.
  • Student Worker Management - Manages the student worker program, including writing weekly student worker schedule, interviewing, on boarding and training new student workers.  Leads monthly student worker meetings. Analyzes and creates student athlete feedback surveys.
  • Fueling Station Management - Manages the fueling station to include inventory and delivery management of all fueling station food and beverage products.
  • Ordering - Coordinates orders from local and national food distributors and supplement companies.
  • Compliance - Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations for all staff members and student workers supervised. Maintains awareness of and supports the diversity and inclusion initiatives of the Athletics Department.  Compliance is a shared responsibility. Performs other duties as assigned.
