Job Description

  • Responsibilities:

    • Plans and provides logistical and administrative support for events, meetings or other special functions, including on-site support; provides agendas and staffing assistance at meetings. Makes logistical arrangements for meetings, seminars and other special events. Compiles material, prepares agendas, and distributes minutes for meetings. Assists in travel arrangements, prepares itineraries, and tracks travel expenses and reimbursements for Supervisor and laboratory group.
    • Provides advanced administrative support to include the creation, maintenance and retention of confidential records and files. Performs advanced word processing, desktop publishing, presentation and data management activities. Composes correspondence, reports, publication and presentations, including editing and proofreading. Provides general information regarding administrative procedures or programs and arranges appointments for Supervisor.
    • Evaluates incoming mail, correspondence and inquiries, distributing with instructions on action items as needed.
    • Maintains Supervisor's calendar.
    • Enters class information into CANVAS and assists with logistics of courses.
    • Other job-related duties as required.

    Required Education and Experience:
    -Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    -Three years of related experience.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    -Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.
    -Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

    -Good Interpersonal and communication skills.

    -Good Planning and organization skills.

    -Ability to travel if needed.
